About Kevin Fegan
Kevin Fegan was a very active member of the CYO hockey program for over 20 years, starting hockey as a young boy, playing through all the league divisions.
He continued his love of the game and became a league timekeeper, and then he went on to do what he loved most, which was coaching young players. While coaching, he continued to demonstrate great sportsmanship and integrity for the game he loved so much.
Kevin ensured that all kids were played fairly; it was something he believed very strongly about. It was his special gift to watch players to ensure they were smiling and having fun; something he believed was the most important part of playing any hockey game win or lose. His love of the game was always reflected on to those he coached.
The last season Kevin coached was the 2005/2006 season where he coached for the league's Mite program and the St. Julia Peewee Falcons. Kevin's untimely death at the young age of 26 was caused by an auto accident just hours after leaving the season ending St. Julia Hockey Banquet on April 29th, 2006.
Kevin's heart touched all those he met and those who knew him will never forget.
The Kevin Fegan Memorial House League Tournament returns to St Catharines on February 7-9, 2020.
