Game Ejections and End of Game Protocols
Due in part to a high volume of recent incidents following game ejections and negative interfaces between spectators and players, please review the following rules regarding Suspensions - Game Ejections, and End of Game Protocols.

SUSPENSION - GAME EJECTIONS

If a player or coach receives a game ejection penalty of any type, the penalized person must go to their change room immediately. Through the penalty, the penalized person has been removed from participation and must either remain in the assigned change room for the balance of the game or vacate the facility. Participants who do not follow this direction are subject to further sanctions.

END OF GAME PROTOCOL

Upon conclusion of any game, both teams must remain on their bench until the On-Ice Official provides them with direction to leave the bench and proceed to their assigned change room. In accordance, the Visiting team shall first clear their bench upon the Official’s direction.

The Home team must hold their bench until appropriately cleared by the Official. In the circumstance where teams share hallways to get to their change rooms, the Home team must wait until the Visiting team has cleared the hallway and then proceed to their respective change room.

This procedure is also applicable to any player(s) in the penalty box. In the circumstance where change rooms are directly attached to the player benches, both teams may proceed to their change rooms immediately upon direction from the Official.

In all cases, the hallways leading to change rooms are for players, rostered team officials, game officials, and designated change room monitors only.

Spectators are not to interfere with the teams or be in change room hallways.

Sanctions may be assessed to spectators who do not follow these guidelines.

In the case of injuries, permission may be granted by the Team for a charge person/caregiver to enter the change room area to attend to an injured player.
