Vaccination and Entry Procedures
On Wednesday the 22nd the Province of Ontario engaged their vaccinate "passport" for access to arenas.

Spectators = proof of 2 vaccines by Sept 22
Players, Coaches = proof of 2 vaccines by Oct 31

Our volunteers and city staff are struggling to make this work as best we can to get our players on the ice as fast as possible. Please arrive a little early, and bring a big 'ole mug of patience. And yes, we all still have to do the screening app (QR code) before entry.

IF YOU ARE A SPECTATOR: PARENT, GUARDIAN, FRIEND, OR SIBLING COMING TO WATCH

You must follow the Ontario vaccination passport rules and requirements, which as of September 22 requires proof of 2nd vaccination before you can enter the rink.

IF YOU ARE A PLAYER, COACH, TRAINER, LEAGUE ADMINISTRATOR GOING ON THE ICE

Following the provincial announcement regarding proof of vaccination (vaccination passports) and subsequent requirements from other hockey organizations, ALLIANCE Hockey will require proof of COVID-19 immunization for all vaccine eligible participants (12 years of age and above and unless exempted) including players, coaches, officials, staff and volunteers in order to participate in ALLIANCE Hockey sanctioned programming. Eligible participants will require proof of having received their first dose by September 17, 2021 and be fully vaccinated by October 31, 2021.

This applies to all CYO levels and programs, including travel.

Note that if you are a CYO player or coach coming back another time to watch (you are not on the ice or the bench) then you bump back to being a spectator and not a participant. The October 31 date applies only to those participating in the league activity, spectating falls under the Ontario protocols.

Information Bulletin, September 3, 2021

ALLIANCE Hockey recognizes the significant impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on sports and recreation. We understand how important hockey is to our members and are committed to doing what is necessary to keep our game as safe as possible for the 2021-22 season.

In keeping with the most recent announcements and recommendations for amateur sports leagues, ALLIANCE Hockey will require proof of COVID-19 immunization for all vaccine eligible participants (12 years of age and above and unless exempted) including players, coaches, officials, staff and volunteers in order to participate in ALLIANCE Hockey sanctioned programming. Eligible participants will require proof of having received their first dose by September 17, 2021 and be fully vaccinated by October 31, 2021.

As our communities begin to see the effects of Wave 4 of this pandemic and as the frequency of COVID-19 cases in amateur group sports continues to increase, ALLIANCE Hockey believes mandatory vaccination is an important step to support our members efforts to prevent the spread of this virus.

Ensuring that all eligible individuals are vaccinated will provide us with the best opportunity to keep our participants on the ice and will support larger cohorts and regular team play. Further details regarding implementation of this Policy, exemption qualifications, providing poof of vaccination, etc. will be available in the near future.
